Course Overview

This 2-day course will get you started on Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) using ChatGPT and similar tools and explore how they can be used to create accurate, royalty free and original artwork for your personal and corporate projects. The first day will get you started on harnessing the power of Generative AI with current tools and a comprehensive overview of how these tools work. With rapid change and evolution of these tools in mind, we will learn how to intelligently select and control inputs to achieve the desired output for various objectives.

 

The main purpose of this course is to be able to use Generative AI to rapidly generate designs, graphics and concepts applicable to your projects. Be it marketing, social media, blogs, corporate websites – visually communicating your message with the right images, tone and content will be the takeaway by learners after this course.

Module 1: Introduction to AI, ChatGPT and content creation

Module 2: Using AI tools for creating graphics

Module 3: Using web tools for editing and modifying graphics

  2. WSQ Statement of Attainment (upon passing the relevant assessment)

Course Learning Outcome

At the end of the course, learners will be able to:

  • Customise prompts for Generative AI to conduct effective market research
  • Use markdown, tags, settings, context and rules to refine the design ideas and concepts generated 
  • Generate textual content with various Generative AI tools
  • Generate design ideas and suggestions for visuals with various Generative AI tools
  • Apply design principles in creating highly-specific visual designs and graphics from the generated ideas
  • Review generated designs and graphics against best practices for similar content to determine commercial potential
  • Edit and modify generated designs and graphics with web tools based on the results of conducted tests and evaluations

Pre-requisites

Ideally be at least N level graduates, possess the ability to Use and computer, operating system, file operations, browser and internet search engines, and have at least one year of working experience in a role that uses computers at work.

Criteria:

  • Applicant must either be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident of Singapore and;
  • Applicant must be at least 21 years old and;
  • Applicant must achieve at least 75% attendance, and pass all examinations/assessments and;
  • Applicant is taking the course for the first time


Avantus reserves the right to charge the full course fee (without subsidy) if any of the conditions above are not met.


SSG Funding Validity Period

19 December 2023 - 18 December 2025


Singapore Citizens aged 25 years and above will be able to utilize their Skillsfuture Credits to offset against nett fee payable
