Cloud computing has made inroads into many organisations from small to large across the globe. This introductory course provides an overview of cloud computing services, models and adoption for cloud services.

Who Should Attend
Be able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualifications (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) level 6; and be able to read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to ES WSQ WPL level 6; and be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES WSQ WPN level 6; and be able to operate a personal desktop computer, a browser and use the Internet.

Course Learning Outcome
Participants will have the knowledge and application skills in recognising the various cloud computing models available, differentiate between them, their limits and benefits. They will be able to recommend a relevant cloud computing model for their organisation to adopt.
- Understand key concepts relating to cloud computing.
- Recognise the features, benefits, examples, and limitations of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS),
- Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS).
- Understand the different models for implementing cloud computing in organisations.
- Consider appropriate solutions and models for implementing cloud computing in a given scenario or situation.
Pre-requisites
Users with computer usage and Internet browsing proficiency.

Criteria:
- Applicant must either be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident of Singapore and;
- Applicant must be at least 21 years old and;
- Applicant must achieve at least 75% attendance, and pass all examinations/assessments and;
- Applicant is taking the course for the first time
Avantus reserves the right to charge the full course fee (without subsidy) if any of the conditions above are not met.
SSG Funding Validity Period
29 February 2024 - 28 February 2026
Singapore Citizens aged 25 years and above will be able to utilize their Skillsfuture Credits to offset against nett fee payable
